**** There are (4) positions available
**** GENERAL OVERVIEW:
** Provides emergency medical care to the sick and injured patients in the prehospital and hospital environment; effectively communicates with all persons and departments involved in the administration of emergency medical care.
*
* ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

*** Drives emergency vehicle. (20%)
* Determines nature and extent of illness or injury; provide basic life support and transport to the critically ill and injured in the prehospital setting. (50%)
* Completes required documentation according to regulatory standards. (15%)
* Maintains equipment and inventory of supplies including BLS and ALS and has accountability for medications on every EMS unit per regulatory standards. (15%)
* Performs other duties as assigned or required.

* QUALIFICATIONS:

** Minimum* High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* PA EMT certification
* EMSVO within 30 days of hire
* Valid Driver's License
* CPR – American Heart Association
* Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
* Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
* Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Preferred
* Six months’ experience in the field of prehospital care.
* ITLS/PHTLS, ABLS, ASLS.
