Required:

• Education
  :
  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science or related field and 1‑year clinical education in a program accredited by NAACLS OR MLT (ASCP) certification in addition to:
  • Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university, including 16 semester hours of biological science (with one semester in microbiology), 16 semester hours of chemistry (with one semester in organic or biochemistry)
    AND
  • 2 years full‑time acceptable clinical laboratory experience in blood banking, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and urinalysis, body fluids in the US/Canada or accredited laboratory within the last 4 years
• Supervisor Qualification
  : BS in laboratory science, chemistry, biology, or related field qualified to serve as the general supervisor for the laboratory
• Experience
  : N/A
• Licensure/Certification
  :
  • MLS (ASCP) or MT (ASCP) or CLS (NCA) or registry eligible preferred
    • Registry‑eligible scientists must attain certification within 1 year of hire
    • Scientists certified after January 1, 2004 must renew their certification every 3 years by participating in the certification maintenance program
