Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician – Per Diem

Role Overview:

Performs and reports various laboratory analyses from multiple specimen sources to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction. Provides care tailored to specific age groups within the clinical setting.

• Maintains productivity and manages multiple work processes efficiently.
• Properly handles specimens, confirms identification, and uses correct accessioning procedures.
• Recognizes discrepancies, resolves issues, and reports problems appropriately.
• Performs instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, quality control, and replenishes supplies.
• Follows established reporting procedures and navigates multiple computer applications.
• Assists in training new employees and participates in ongoing education to stay current in the field.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an accredited Medical Technology/ Laboratory Science program; certification or experience as an MLT is preferred.
• Military experience in related medical laboratory roles is welcomed.
• Ability to work in a clinical environment with adherence to policies and procedures.
• Successful completion of competency exams required.

The position involves rotating shifts, including overnight and evening hours.
