CT Technologist - Per Diem - Rotation

CT Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging procedures involving ionizing radiation. They independently operate or assist in computed tomography and molecular imaging, ensuring accurate data acquisition for diagnosis and treatment.

• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history with confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and prioritize patient safety following ALARA principles.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate image quality, verify data storage and transfer, and perform post-processing when needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures and perform prescribed CT scans.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate commitment to departmental and organizational goals.

Work is conducted in a clinical setting. The role requires full proficiency in routine and complex duties, compliance with policies, and adherence to safety standards.

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) and ARRT-CT.
• Graduation from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
