Employee Relations, HR Manager
As a Payroll and Welfare Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate payroll processing, statutory compliance, and employee welfare in a plant environment. You will be the go-to person for payroll-related queries and welfare initiatives, working closely with HR, finance, and administrative teams.
What You Will Do Payroll Management- You will manage monthly payroll processing for all plant employees through an outsourcing vendor, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- You will maintain and update payroll records, including attendance, leave, and overtime data.
- You will coordinate with finance and audit teams for payroll reconciliation and reporting.
- You will ensure compliance with labour laws such as PF, ESI, Gratuity, and Bonus.
- You will ensure adherence to statutory requirements related to payroll and employee benefits.
- You will prepare and submit periodic returns and reports to government authorities.
- You will liaise with external auditors and inspectors during audits and inspections.
- You will plan and implement welfare schemes such as health camps, recreational activities, canteen services, and transportation.
- You will monitor and improve welfare facilities in coordination with administration and security teams.
- You will promote employee engagement through welfare-driven initiatives.
- You will assist in HR documentation, onboarding, and exit formalities.
- You will support the maintenance of HR MIS and dashboards related to payroll and welfare.
- You will collaborate with IR and L&D teams for cross-functional initiatives.
- You will ensure all PF collections and transfers are invested as per prescribed norms.
- You will handle PF-related requests and resolve issues.
- You have 6+ years of experience in payroll and welfare management within a manufacturing setup.
- You possess strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
- You are proficient in payroll software such as SAP, ADP, or similar platforms, and in MS Excel.
