Senior Data Engineer - Azure, AWS, Databricks

For the Data Analytics and AI business line, we are looking for a motivated Data Engineer with experience in implementing complex distributed IT environments that process or integrate large volumes of data. This requires competencies in big data technologies such as Apache Spark, MPP, relational databases, and data architecture. The ideal candidate should also have experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and Dev Ops practices.

• Work with business and software engineering teams to design and build modern, agile data integration platforms from the ground up, driven by concrete business use cases.
• Collaborate with project teams and contribute throughout the entire project lifecycle, including initial conception, business requirements analysis, software architecture, implementation, and successful delivery. Act as a seasoned professional and mentor to support junior team members.
• Work closely with business analysts and data scientists to understand and implement their use cases.
• Support pre-sales activities, including tender responses, proof-of-concept work, and the design of modern data integration platforms, both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Participate in group-wide thought leadership initiatives to advance our Data & AI practice and sustain technical excellence.

• 4+ years of experience designing and implementing data platforms.
• Expert in data engineering, covering data collection, preparation/transformation, and serving end users.
• Strong expertise in SQL.
• Solid experience with Agile methodologies, Dev Ops, and CI/CD tooling, including automation, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and code quality practices.
• Experience with one of the public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure) and with either Snowflake or Databricks. Certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of data federation, data mesh, and data product concepts.
• Knowledge of machine learning, AI, or Generative AI is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud deployments and Terraform is a plus.
• Good understanding of distributed systems, real-time vs. (micro-)batch processing, and related design principles and patterns.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in French and English.
