ESX Hypervisor Specialist

Requirements

• Completed training in information technology, ideally as an IT specialist in system integration, or equivalent qualification with an IT focus
• Excellent communication skills
• Very good English and German language skills
• Preferred experience in server and storage system administration
• Strong knowledge of VMware/ESXi administration and IT security
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience with Power Shell
• Experience in IT projects and familiarity with container platforms such as Kubernetes are a plus
• Willingness to participate in on-call duty, which is compensated separately
• Customer- and solution-oriented working style
• Structured, methodical, and analytical approach with quick comprehension

Hybrid work arrangement:
Our employees primarily work remotely. However, they are expected to attend the office when required for specific occasions such as workshops, or other business needs.

• Responsibility for Operations support of the ESXi hypervisor
• Close collaboration with our specialist departments
• Active involvement in ESXi server consolidation, upgrades, and V2V migration of virtual machines to our advanced private or public cloud environments
• Ongoing review and refinement of our existing processes
• Support in task automation
• Performing in-depth troubleshooting and developing precise solutions to resolve incidents
• Creating and adapting service catalogs to best meet user needs
• Developing comprehensive concepts for the smooth implementation of new technologies and their integration into our system landscape
