Position OverviewLinde is seeking a detail-oriented and solution-driven Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator who will oversee the administration and management of the Cornerstone LMS for the U.S. Bulk and On-Site business while supporting the U.S. HYCO business. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Operations Training, this full-time role is critical in ensuring smooth learning operations, compliance with training protocols, and delivering high-quality training experiences through the effective use of Linde's LMS tools.
This position also includes project work such as the rebranding of training materials, the conversion of instructor-led courses into online formats, and migrating content from legacy systems. The LMS Administrator interacts extensively with internal stakeholders such as the Operating Segment Administrator, local LMS Administrators, Learning Champions, and end-users to ensure the system is effectively supporting global learning needs.
To excel in this role, you must pair your technical expertise with strong communication and collaboration skills, ensuring cross-functional teams are supported and end users are empowered. Occasional travel is required.
LocationCandidates residing within driving distance of Linde’s Burr Ridge, IL office are preferred, but candidates near another Linde office will be considered. Some travel is required based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities- LMS Administration:
Build, edit, test, and manage LMS activities, certifications, learning paths, user groups, and assignment frequency settings, ensuring alignment with business needs. - Reporting & Dashboards:
Develop, test, and monitor activity reports and data dashboards, ensuring they provide key insights to track compliance, learner progress, and training effectiveness. - Troubleshooting:
Serve as the system focal point for internal support by working with local LMS Administrators, Learning Champions, and end-users to troubleshoot, document, and resolve technical or procedural issues. - User Training:
Provide comprehensive support and training for all system users, creating user-friendly guides and conducting regular information sessions to ensure system adoption. - Data Management & Migration:
Lead content migration efforts, ensuring system integrity during transitions such as moving files from the Sharewaves platform onto the new SharePoint system. - Roster Tool Support:
Assist with ensuring functionality and usability of the roster entry tool, addressing issues as necessary. - Content Design Support:
Assist with converting instructor-led materials into engaging online courses, leveraging eLearning tools like Articulate Storyline or Rise. - Stay informed about best practices, LMS technology advancements, and training industry trends to continually improve processes and systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and locations while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, proactively identifying opportunities to improve the LMS and its related processes.
- Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including LMS administration, training systems management, eLearning projects, or a related area of expertise.
- Hands-on experience with LMS platforms, with strong preference for Cornerstone OnDemand.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and familiarity with collaborative tools such as SharePoint.
- Knowledge of eLearning development software, particularly Articulate Storyline or Rise, and instructional design principles.
- Understanding of SCORM, AICC, or other eLearning standards is preferred.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting, including the ability to design user-friendly, data-driven dashboards.
A bachelor’s degree in education, business, instructional design, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
