Sun East is seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Lending & Revenue Officer (CLRO) to lead lending strategy and revenue growth initiatives that enhance member value and ensure long-term sustainability. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CLRO will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, providing vision, leadership, and strategic direction across Sun East’s lending and revenue-generating functions, including consumer, mortgage, and business lending, loan operations, and non-interest income channels.

This is a pivotal role for a strategic, innovative leader with a proven track record of driving growth while maintaining safety, soundness, and compliance. The CLRO will balance strategic vision with disciplined risk management and operational excellence, ensuring every lending and revenue initiative delivers meaningful impact and strengthens Sun East’s market differentiation.

• Lead development and execution of strategies to grow and diversify the loan portfolio, with a focus on expanding direct member lending.
• Partner with the CEO, Board, and executive team to align lending and revenue initiatives with enterprise strategy, capital planning, and ALCO.
• Act as a visible representative of Sun East in the community, industry forums, and regulatory environments, as well as a liaison to the business lending CUSO, vendors, and partners.
• Oversee consumer, business, real estate, indirect lending, and loan operations.
• Ensure portfolio safety and soundness through strong underwriting, compliance, and ongoing monitoring.
• Serve as Credit Manager, making loan decisions that exceed delegated authority.
• Provide oversight of enterprise revenue-generating functions, including payment rails, interchange, and other non-interest income streams.
• Identify and develop innovative lending products and revenue opportunities based on data analytics, market trends, and member needs.
• Prepare and deliver reports and insights for the CEO, Board of Directors, regulators, and auditors.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and credit union policies.
• Develop and mentor lending leaders and staff, ensuring accountability, succession planning, and alignment with Sun East’s member-centric values.
• Foster a culture of high performance, innovation, and operational excellence.

• 10 - 15 years of progressive leadership experience in lending, with at least 5 years as the top lending executive (VP, SVP, or CLO/CLRO).
• Proven track record of loan portfolio growth, product development, and revenue diversification.
• Experience managing consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending.
• Strong background in strategy development, change management, and driving transformation.
• Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) required.
