Position Summary

The Construction Production Manager oversees all aspects of reconstruction and restoration project execution—from scheduling and field coordination to quality control and customer communication. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of workmanship and professionalism. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, exceptional customer service skills, and proven communication abilities to manage teams, subcontractors, and client relationships effectively.

Experience in roofing is preferred but not required, as the position occasionally supports roof replacements and repairs within restoration projects.

Project & Field Management
  • Oversee all active reconstruction projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Schedule and coordinate project managers, field staff, and subcontractors to maintain production efficiency.
  • Ensure all job setups, safety measures, permits, and documentation are completed before project start.
  • Conduct regular job site visits for safety, quality, and compliance verification.
  • Review scopes of work, budgets, and change orders to maintain profitability and alignment with client expectations.
  • Provide timely updates to customers and insurance representatives regarding project status and progress.
  • Manage warranty work and ensure post-project follow-up maintains a strong client relationship.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, train, and support field and project management staff, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct weekly production meetings, schedule reviews, and team development sessions.
  • Maintain open and professional communication between customers, insurance adjusters, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Promote a positive and customer-first culture across all field operations.
Financial & Operational Oversight
  • Monitor labor, material, and subcontractor costs to achieve target job margins.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time and increase efficiency.
  • Review WIP reports and coordinate timely billing with administration.
  • Track and report on performance metrics including job profitability, schedule adherence, and rework rates.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required;
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction or restoration management.
  • Roofing experience preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with insurance restoration workflows and estimating software (Xactimate, Albi, Dash, or similar).
  • Proven track record in managing multiple projects, crews, and subcontractors concurrently.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
  • Proven leadership and team-management abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to read and interpret scopes, drawings, and project documents.
  • Hands-on, proactive problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

  • On-time and on-budget project completion rate.
  • Customer satisfaction scores and referral rates.

  • Rework and warranty claim percentage.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Field-based position; frequent job site visits required.
  • Ability to climb ladders, access rooftops, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Some weekend or after-hours work may be required during emergency projects or storm events.
