Sound like you? Here’s where you come in. Our next full‑time Extraction Technician will work in the laboratory at Terr Ascend to create extracts and other medical marijuana products. As an extraction technician you will operate machinery, ensure processes are efficient, and follow state‑mandated regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Run extraction equipment to meet daily production and efficiency goals.
  • Perform all extraction and processing with strict Terr Ascend quality and safety standards, regulatory compliance, and food safety requirements.
  • Safely operate, clean, and maintain extraction production equipment including solventless, supercritical fluid, solvent extraction systems, distillation systems, pumps, filters, and evaporators according to SOPs.
  • Handle hazardous materials (butane, propane, ethanol, etc.) safely and dispose of them per SOPs and MSDS.
  • Handle and dispose of cannabis waste according to SOPs.
  • Produce reliable data for batch, equipment, quality, inventory, and state‑mandated seed‑to‑sale documentation.
  • Accurately fill out logs and tracking records.
  • Maintain equipment health through daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly checks.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining SOPs for the extraction process.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment asset logs.
  • Assist in training new hires.
  • Help conduct R&D to improve extraction efficiencies.
  • Clean and sanitize glassware, transfer materials, storage vessels, tools, and work surfaces.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly workspace.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • At least 6 months of cannabis extraction experience with hydrocarbons.
  • Experience with solventless extraction.
  • Positive attitude and self‑motivation.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced team environment.
  • Able to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Capable of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, squatting, and walking for extended periods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Honest, fair, and respectful of others.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand constantly.
  • Walk frequently.
  • Reach, twist, and turn with hands and arms.
  • Climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus ability.
