Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, General Labor
In this role you will support a positive safety culture in an aggregate environment regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Equipment tech you will work with a team to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment. Work in an underground setting repairing equipment such as Haul trucks, Scalers, Face drills, Roof Bolters, Water trucks and Loaders.
Day to Day- Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
- The ability to operate one piece of mobile equipment (haul truck, loaders, water truck, rubber tire skid steers, scalers, etc.)
- Repair equipment daily, changing broken parts, hoses and diagnosing electrical issues as needed
- Operate equipment in quarry or production
- Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
- Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
- Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
- Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
- Positive, Team-based attitude
- The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
- The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
