Summary / Objective

The material utility team member is responsible for making sure saw tables are loaded, pre‑cut tubes positioned in racks, deliver bundles of tube to the cut house yard, unload trucks, and system movements are made in a timely manner. They also are responsible for organization of the staging area and the return of empty dunnage.

  • Must be able to operate a forklift confidently, efficiently, and safely.
  • There is a minimum lifting requirement of at least 50 Lbs.

    • Primarily on the floor/in the work, could be exposed to elements (heat, snow, etc.)
    • May sit or stand for several hours at a time.
    • Repetitive use of hands to operate machinery.
    Qualifications
  • High school degree or GED (not necessary).
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Lippert Forklift License Required (Offered once hired).

  • Must be able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company’s overall goals.
  • Must demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills (English).
  • Must be able to read and process written communication including, but not limited to, production schedule, RPO pick paperwork on dunnage, and material delivery log.
  • Must be able to meet production goals and time deadlines.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must be able to operate various lift trucks as needed.
  • Must be able to operate appropriate equipment including radios, tablets (Ex: email, D365, etc.), hitching process, loading & unloading material from trailers safely.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Must possess successful problem‑solving skills.
  • Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow team members, customers, etc.
  • Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations.
  • Must be able to deal with climate extremes (temperature, precipitation, etc.)
  • Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day.
