Position Summary

We are seeking a Material Handler Manager to oversee all material handling operations and lead our Material Handler team. This role ensures that raw materials, components, and finished goods are efficiently received, staged, tracked, and delivered to the production floor. The Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory control, meeting production deadlines, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and mentor the Material Handler team.

  • Oversee receiving, inspection, and staging of incoming materials.

  • Implement procedures for material staging, inventory tracking, and production readiness.

  • Collaborate with Production Supervisors and other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.

  • Monitor inventory levels, communicating shortages or discrepancies.

  • Assign daily schedules and work priorities for Material Handlers.

  • Operate and train staff on forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment.

  • Enforce safety policies and conduct regular safety checks.

  • Maintain organized storage areas to prevent damage or loss.

  • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Serve as the main contact for resolving material-related issues.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required;
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 3+ years of material handling or warehouse experience, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong leadership and team development skills.

  • Knowledge of inventory control practices and tracking systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret job travelers, work instructions, and mechanical drawings.

  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and production tracking software.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, bend, and push up to 50 lbs.

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

  • Occasional exposure to temperature changes and loud noise.

  • Must follow PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements.
