Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you’ve received a fraudulent text?

• Job‑seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
• If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

• Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use Whats App or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
• Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

• Temp-to-Hire position

• $19.50 to $25.00 /hour

• Full Time work available

• Third Shift (Monday through Thursday from 08:00pm to 06:00am)

• Read work orders, blueprints, and production schedules to determine material type, bend locations, and tolerances

• Set up, align, and secure punches, dies, and fixtures using gauges, shims, and hand tools

• Operate press brake machinery to form and shape metal parts to exact specifications

• Inspect completed work pieces for defects and verify accuracy using calipers, gauges, or templates

• Adjust machine settings and back gauges as needed for precision and consistency

• Maintain machine cleanliness, perform routine lubrication, and monitor for mechanical issues

• Collaborate with teammates to meet production goals and maintain safety standards

• High school diploma or GED required

• 1–2 years of prior press brake setup and operation experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Dependable, motivated, and a team player

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

• Applicant may be subject to a background check

• Pre‑employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
