The Fire Assay Technician supports ACC’s laboratory operations by performing fire assay testing on incoming precious‑metal–bearing materials. As ACC continues to grow, this position expands our laboratory capacity, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality in all fire assay processes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct fire assay analysis on incoming precious‑metal–bearing materials.
- Perform all aspects of sample preparation and testing.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of results, observations, and data.
- Uphold ACC quality, safety, and operational standards within the laboratory.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and teamwork within the lab.
Must Have
- Hands‑on working fire assay experience (required)
- Experience handling precious metals
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Quality‑driven mindset with commitment to accuracy
- Ability to distinguish shades of color
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
- Exposure to ISO 9000 / ISO 14000 systems
- Additional laboratory, metals, or materials testing experience
Standard schedule is 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
, following completion of training.
High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
