Extraction Operator

A Day in the Life:

Job duties include but are not limited to: working in a soybean processing facility as an Operator responsible for all aspects of the soybean processing, lab duties, and control room activities such as load out, elevator, and extraction tasks. The position also requires participation in all sanitation, housekeeping, environmental, safety, and emergency guidelines throughout the facility.

12‑hour rotating shift, 10am‑10pm.

Hourly pay rate: $29.92

• Operate all aspects of soybean processing.
• Know and follow all safety, environmental, and emergency procedures.
• Keep all work areas, buildings, and grounds clean at all times.
• Actively participate in all aspects of safety, including near‑miss reporting and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to take instruction and follow directions.
• Comfort working safely in high places and confined spaces.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must show initiative and demonstrate strong customer service skills.
• Must be self‑motivated with the ability to work unsupervised.
• Strong reading and writing skills.
• Positive attitude.
• Good attendance.

• High school graduate or GED.
• Background in agriculture.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills.

• Less than 1 year: 10 days
• 1–4 years: 12 days
• 5–14 years: 17 days
• 15–19 years: 22 days
• 20+ years: 25 days
• * Time is accrued per pay period and based on an 8‑hour shift
