Type:
Contract-to-hire - convert to a permanent employee with the client after 6 months

We are hiring an Electronics Assembler for a specialty ceramics manufacturer in Bellefonte, PA. The company is a leading producer of specialty elements. The parts you build go into defense systems, medical ultrasound equipment, precision actuators, and industrial sensors.

This is precision bench work, not a fast-paced line. If you take pride in a clean solder joint and enjoy detailed hands-on work, this is a long-term home.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Perform lead attachment on piezoelectric ceramic components (your primary day-to-day work)
  • Solder wires, leads, and terminations to small ceramic parts and assemblies
  • Perform potting operations and work with molds and fixtures
  • Assemble small components requiring a high level of manual dexterity
  • Follow work instructions, drawings, and established procedures
  • Visually inspect your own work and flag parts that don't meet spec
  • Record production data and complete basic documentation
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety requirements
  • Work with production, quality, and engineering to resolve issues on the floor
WHAT YOU NEED
  • Hands-on soldering experience, OR assembly experience with small precision components
  • Strong manual dexterity and steady hands; comfortable working with very small parts
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently after training
NICE TO HAVE (not required - we will train the right person)
  • Soldering experience in electronics, medical device, or defense manufacturing
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 soldering standards
  • Experience with potting, epoxy, or encapsulation processes
  • Prior work in an ISO 9001 certified facility
  • Experience with ceramics, sensors, transducers, or other small electronic components
WHY THIS ROLE
  • Consistent Monday-Friday day schedule with a flexible start time - no rotating shifts, no weekends
  • Climate-controlled, seated bench work in a clean facility
  • Work on parts that go into real defense and medical applications
  • Local to Bellefonte, State College, Pleasant Gap, Milesburg, and Centre Hall - short commute

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
