Process Machine Operator

• Prepare, set up, operate, adjust, and tear down finishing machinery used to cut, edge, saw, drill, and grind glass products.
• Perform glass identification, material handling, and proper handling of finished products throughout the production process.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet defined specifications and customer requirements.
• Complete required paperwork, work orders, logs, and computer-based recordkeeping accurately and efficiently.
• Perform manual finishing work using hand tools, measuring devices, and production equipment while supporting multiple machine operations as needed.
• Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance activities and support 5S, safety, hazardous waste handling, and housekeeping requirements within the work area.

• High school diploma or GED with three to five years of related manufacturing or machine operation experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, customer drawings, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and related documentation.
• Strong mathematical skills with the ability to calculate measurements, percentages, area, volume, and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
• Proficiency using business systems, Microsoft Office applications, and basic computer operations.
• Ability to use gauges and measuring devices accurately while demonstrating organization, precision, problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate various machinery.

This position is covered by a union collective bargaining agreement. Starting rate is $28.22and includes 6 month progression increases up to 18 months.
