Qualifications
  • Education/Training:
    Graduate of an accredited practical nursing school. Must hold a valid LPN or RN license in the state of practice and possess current CPR certification.
  • Experience:

    New graduates and newly licensed LPNs/RNs are encouraged to apply; direct job experience is not required. Desired qualities include fast learning, confidence, and the ability to meet the position’s expectations.
  • LPN 1:
    Recent graduate with up to one year experience.
  • LPN 2: 2–5 years nursing experience, with at least one year in addictions, mental health, or related specialty.
  • LPN 3: 5+ years nursing experience, with at least two years in addictions, mental health, or related specialty.
  • RN 1:
    Recent graduate with up to one year experience.
  • RN 2: 2–5 years nursing experience, with at least one year in addictions, mental health, or related specialty.
  • RN 3: 5+ years nursing experience, with at least two years in addictions, mental health, or related specialty.
Your Responsibilities In This Role May Include
  • Perform initial nursing assessment for clients within 24 hours of admission per program policies and state regulation.
  • Arrange appropriate appointments with health care providers to secure complete physical examinations, health screenings, and supplemental tests.
  • Administer medications and supervise self‑administered medications where permitted by regulation.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and accurate records in compliance with governing regulations and agency policy.
  • Counsel clients on nutrition, healthcare, self‑care, symptom management, and ensure medical coverage to guarantee safety, adequate care, and provider compliance for payment.
  • Ensure proper storage of supplies per regulation.
  • Assist in facilitating special events, staff training, retreats, workshops, and facility events.
  • Implement health seminars (e.g., HIV/AIDS, nutrition, medication education, infectious diseases, mental health).
  • Participate in treatment/multidisciplinary team meetings as directed.
  • Implement and enforce infection control policies and practices; educate clients on health, nutrition, safety, and medication compliance.
  • Maintain LPN or RN license with good standing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager or designee.
Working Conditions
  • Work weekends at least once a month including one off shift per week for program coverage.
  • May be required to work out‑of‑shift duties during staffing shortages.
  • Minimum holiday requirement: one major summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day) and one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day for night shifts).
  • Position required to work during inclement weather.
  • May be required to work in any program on a given site based on staffing needs.
  • PRN positions: 3 shifts per month required.
