Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In this role you will be:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and recording patient care in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care, policies, and procedures.
• Participating in teaching and involving individuals and their families in their health promotion, maintenance, restoration, and rehabilitation.
• Coordinating discharge planning in conjunction with other members of the health team.
• Directing and assisting with the Licensed Practical Nurse, Nursing Assistant, and Nursing Student in rendering care to patients.
• Working collaboratively with all members of the patient care team and provides leadership so that standards of professional nursing practice are maintained in the clinical setting.
• Able to respond quickly and appropriately to changes in patients’ clinical condition.
• Demonstrating the ability to function as a charge nurse as assigned.
• Demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the span of life.
• Identifying age-specific needs and planning care accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• EDUCATION:
  
  Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• EXPERIENCE:
  
  2 years of clinical experience working in a physician’s office or in an ambulatory care setting preferred
• LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
  • Possess current license as an RN in Pennsylvania, or must pass nursing boards within 6 months of hire
  • BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire
  • ACLS training required or obtained within 6 months of hire
