We are seeking PRN Registered Nurses (all shifts) to be apart of our Children's Psychiatric Inpatient Hospital in Malvern, PA. You will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need.

You will be offered:

  • PRN Pay: $44 / hour
  • PRN Work Requirement: 4 shifts [12hr]/Month + 1 Summer and 1 Winter Holiday
    • 2 shifts MUST be on the Weekend [7am Friday- 7am Monday]

Devereux Children’s Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC), located in Malvern, PA, provides programs and services for children and adolescents who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis within a safe and compassionate inpatient environment. Our Registered Nurses perform direct nursing care, administer medication, take doctor s orders, provide education and coping skills to patients around sex education, suicidal behaviors, symptom management, self control, etc.

RN is also responsible for creation of initial care plan and discharge planning.

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS)serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care, in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with a B.S.N., Diploma or A.D. Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

EXPERIENCE: One year of post-education nursing experience preferred. Candidates should have experience with individuals with cognitive and/or behavioral challenges or medically complex conditions. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position). Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.

Valid driver s license must be maintained.
