RN Supervisor (Part‑time)
Location:
Sellersville, PA – The Community at Rockhill.
Oversee the overall function of the nursing shift ensuring a quality, respectful environment for the residents.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities- Organize, supervise and evaluate resident care.
- Review verbal information and written documentation from previous shifts.
- Prioritize needs of residents.
- Communicate with physicians and other departments in person, phone or fax to update resident needs.
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, deaths and physician orders.
- Address staffing issues as they occur.
- Counsel and coach employees using policies including, but not limited to, P=S and No Excuse Policy.
- Conduct performance evaluations on the shift for nurse aides and participate in the nurse evaluations, as appropriate.
- Maintain communication between staff and Director of Nursing and department heads by attending meetings, trainings, and maintaining shift logs.
- Assist with administration of Mantoux and Hepatitis B to staff.
- Attend seminars to remain updated on issues pertinent to long‑term care and government regulations.
- Be knowledgeable in Medicare and managed care.
- Participate in wound assessment and care.
Minimum
:
Registered Nurse in the State of PA
Preferred Experience
:
Two years previous experience;
Six years experience, including three years in a geriatric setting.

Education
:
Minimum – Registered Nurse;
Preferred – 2 years previous experience;
Six years experience, including three years in a geriatric setting.
Professional Membership, Licensures, Certifications
:
Current Registered Nurse licensed in the State of PA.
Language Ability
:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, residents, families, and the general public. Must be able to speak and write English in an understandable manner.
Math Ability
:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
Reasoning Ability
:
Take initiative and use good judgment. Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all levels of personnel. Must be able to effectively delegate responsibilities to other staff members.
Computer Skills
:
Possess a basic understanding of Word Processing software.

Schedules Available
:
Every other weekend 7 am–3 pm;
Fridays and every other weekend 3 pm–11 pm.
