The Registered Nurse in the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation unit provides comprehensive nursing care for patients recovering from various conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal recovery and transition home.

• Assess human responses and plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Provide leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Contribute to building the team by mentoring and role modeling.
• Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels.
• Promote patient safety initiatives and participate in quality initiatives.
• Utilize the nursing process to develop individualized patient care plans.
• Analyze health status and determine patient care needs.
• Document changes in patient condition and notify appropriate personnel.
• Participate in systematic peer review and seek feedback on practice.
• Promote compassionate communication that is patient and family-centered.

• Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

• Preferred certification in area of specialty.

• CPR certification required.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
