• Rotating Start Times: 6:00am - 8:00am (8 hour shifts)
• No Weekends or Holidays

The registered nurse develops, implements and evaluates the nursing plan of patient care and implements the medical plan of care in collaboration with all disciplines.

Reading Hospital's Surgi Center at Spring Ridge consists of 8 operating rooms and 1 procedural suite. The Surgi Center was the 2019 recipient of the Guardian of Excellence Award for Patient Satisfaction and the 2018 recipient of the True North Award for Excellence in OR Nursing and Care Delivery through CCI. The Surgi Center is the 1st in the country to use 4K video monitoring technology in their operating rooms.

In 2024, the Surgi Center was the recipient of the I AM Patient Safety Achievement Award that recognizes healthcare staff for their committment to patient safety. The Surgi Center also received the 2024 Outpatient Surgery OR Excellence Award in Patient Safety and Quality. For four years in a row, the Surgi Center at Spring Ridge was named in Newsweek America's Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers list.
