Registered Nurse Supervisor; 3rd Shift; Torrance State Hospital

This position provides leadership to nursing staff and supports safe, consistent patient care across treatment areas. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

• Patient Care Leadership: Guide clinical care processes to maintain safe, therapeutic services across units
• Staff Supervision: Oversee nursing performance, complete evaluations, and support skill development
• Safety Enforcement: Maintain environmental safety, monitor infection control standards, and follow emergency health and safety procedures

  Work with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment goals and ensure communications between shifts
• Administrative Management: Handle staffing needs, leave requests, reports, and documentation requirements
• Policy Compliance: Apply regulations and address concerns related to complaints, grievances, and discipline

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays during a 2-week period. You will have every other weekend off and 2 additional days off.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.

• You must possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
