American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a 13-week night shift assignment at a brand new acute inpatient psychiatric facility, requiring an active PA or compact RN license and recent BH/Psych experience.
Requirements- Active PA license or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in behavioral health/psychiatric nursing required
- Acute inpatient behavioral health hospital setting
- Treats adult through geriatric patients, with adolescent services opening in April
- Manages mental health, behavioral disorders, substance abuse, and addictions
- Staffing ratio of approximately 1:20 depending on patient acuity
- Documentation via Epic with paper charting used for restraint procedures
- Medication management through Omnicell with onsite pharmacy open 24/7
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 8PM-8AM
- Weekends and holidays assigned as needed
- Facility is brand new
- Orientation lasts 3-5 days and includes complimentary Handles With Care de-escalation training
- Gray scrubs required
- Located in the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Metro area of NE PA, near a ski resort and about 40 miles from the NY-NJ border
- 30-mile radius rule applies for local versus travel pay rates
