Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. • Implement all physical improvements to the plant communitiesincludingplanting,weedingand trimming.
• Responsible formaintainingthe site’s irrigation system.
• Oversee any third-party vendor(s) tomaintaingood relations through positive communications.
• Operates large power lawn mowers, edgers, hand tools, and large vehicles associated with ground maintenance and landscaping activities.
• Cut lawn using hand,poweror riding mower and trim and edge around walkways, flower beds, and walls.
• Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.
• Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitos, wasps, ticks, and others.
• Apply fertilizer togroundto enhance growth.
• Comprehensive inclement weather planning and execution – snow, ice, natural disaster, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance duties such as applying plaster, fixing fountains, and other duties.
• Sweep walkway of debris.
• Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger.
• Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipmentutilizedin groundskeeping.
• Empty all trash receptacles andreplacewith liners.
• Install lawn furniture.
• Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.
• Install rock, cement, lighting, water, and furniture.
• Water plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer.
• Operates pick-up trucks, flat-bed trucks, and dump trucks for hauling purposes and for trash and debris removal.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructionsfurnishedin written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
