The Lab Technician will be responsible for improving the capabilities of the analytical laboratory by performing sample preparation, instrument standardization, and data reporting to provide results in accordance with Standard Laboratory Procedures.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation
- Provide accurate and timely testing of material samples from melting furnaces, ingot slices, receiving inspection and special analytical requests
- Provide appropriate sample collection, sample preparation analysis and reporting of metals chemistry data.
- Coordinate testing efforts with other laboratory technicians and laboratory customers (internal and external)
- Verify sample identity, confirm testing requirements, track sample progress and location, ensure completion of required analysis, and assist laboratory customers with analytical requirements when appropriate

Education / Requirements- High school Diploma or Equivalent
- Additional college/technical schooling preferred
- Basic knowledge of chemistry is required
- Min. 1-year experience in similar lab environment.
- Previous analytical experience is preferred
