Overview

As a Laboratory Technician in Process Technology, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing chemical processes that deliver real efficiency gains for global clients in the chemical and aluminum industries. In this role, you won’t just perform experiments—you will actively shape lab trials, contribute to process development, and ensure that results are precise, reliable, and actionable.

Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for the preparation and execution of laboratory work, collaborating closely with chemists, process engineers, and customers.
  • Document and analyze results accurately, ensuring all experimental data meets the highest standards.
  • Support development projects in gas‑liquid reactions, filtration, and distillation while maintaining and managing laboratory infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Qualifications
  • Completed education as a laboratory technician, chemical technician, or comparable qualification, combined with around three years of practical experience in laboratory, pilot plant, or production environments.
  • Hands‑on expertise in preparative chemistry and experience with analytical techniques such as GC, HPLC, and titrations.
  • Familiarity with high‑pressure equipment like autoclaves, dosing pumps, and metal fittings, and experience conducting gas‑liquid reactions such as hydrogenations, oxidations, or ethoxylations.
  • Proficiency with standard office software for documentation and reporting and confident communication in English and German.
