Our team in Valley Green, PA is looking for a Quality Specialist.
The Quality Specialist supports the implementation and maintenance of quality systems to ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and internal procedures. This entry-level role focuses on inspection, documentation, and assisting in root cause analysis for electronic components and assemblies.
Responsibilities- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electronic components, cable assemblies, and PCBs using magnification tools and measurement equipment.
- Verify compliance with work instructions, drawings, and specifications
. - Document inspection results in ERP or quality management systems.
- Assist in nonconformance reporting (NCR) and containment activities.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects (e.g., soldering, gasket placement, wire routing).
- Conduct basic electrical tests (continuity, hipot, LLCR) under supervision.
- Maintain calibration records for measurement tools.
- Participate in layered process audits and report findings.
- Ensure adherence to ESD, cleanliness, and safety standards in the work area.
- High school diploma or associate degree in electronics or related field.
- Basic understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-620 or similar standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
. - Familiarity with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges).
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP systems).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing or cable assembly
. - Knowledge of quality tools (PFMEA, control plans, fishbone diagrams).
- Exposure to ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality systems.
