Inspector, QC

Description

Inspects finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies, etc., for conformance to company standards.

• Checks randomly selected samples, and verifies compliance to standards
• Reports conditions requiring immediate correction
• Uses advanced inspection methods to develop and conduct quality programs
• Keeps records and makes reports indicating results of inspections
• Determines disposition of finished product by judging product acceptability in comparison to specifications
• Determines acceptability of rework by conducting inspections and physical tests of reworked product
• May inspect work areas to detect unsafe conditions

• May relieve machine operators
• Performs all other duties as required

• High school diploma required
• 1-3 years experience preferred

• Identify problems, inform others, and provide information to assist with solving the problem

• Use verbal skills to communicate with co-workers or customers and/or vendors

• Complete and maintain documentation/records to effectively convey ideas and information both in written and oral form
