Senior academic associate UAS – Chemistry and Analysis of Biomolecules (80-100%)

In order to strengthen its team, the School of Engineering is inviting applications for a position of

Senior academic associate UAS – Chemistry and Analysis of Biomolecules

• Contribute to the teaching of organic and general chemistry
• Provide supervision, instruction and mentorship to students throughout their educational journey
• Undertake R&D projects and industrial assignments within the Institute of Life Sciences
• Participate in the acquisition of R&D project mandates

• PhD in Chemistry, Life Sciences or related field
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience, in industry or academia, in the field of biomolecule chemistry
• Demonstrated expertise in the synthesis of biomolecules such as peptides, oligonucleotides, oligosaccharides, etc.
• Strong skills in the analytics of biomolecules using instrumental techniques such as mass spectrometry
• Experience in the use and development of digital tools would be a plus
• Considered advantageous: experience in teaching and in R&D project development
• Fluent in German and English, proficiency in French
