Lab Technician

As a Lab Technician, you will perform routine bench-scale polymerization testing, including catalyst activation and ethylene polymerization. Your role will involve conducting routine polymer processing and testing, safely handling air-sensitive materials using glove box and standard inert atmosphere techniques, preparing silica supports and silica-supported polymerization catalysts following established methods, and performing routine analyses on silica support and supported catalyst samples.

• Perform routine bench-scale polymerization testing including catalyst activation and ethylene polymerization.
• Conduct routine polymer processing and testing.
• Safely handle air-sensitive materials using glove box and standard inert atmosphere techniques.
• Prepare silica supports and silica-supported polymerization catalysts following established methods.
• Perform routine analyses on silica support and supported catalyst samples.

• Proficiency in Chemistry and Physical Chemistry.
• Experience in laboratory and chemical handling.
• Associates Degree in Science with 2 years of hands-on industrial lab experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Materials Science.
• Experience performing laboratory procedures.
• Experience working in a Research and Development lab.

You will work in the Polyolefins R&D Lab, spending your time independently as well as collaborating with a team of 5. The work schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conshohocken, PA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Conshohocken, PA.
