We are seeking a Scientist to join an upstream development team supporting mammalian cell culture, cell line development, and bioreactor-based protein expression activities. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on mammalian cell culture experience, with CHO cell experience highly preferred.
This position is geared toward an earlier-career scientist who can contribute in the lab without requiring extensive foundational training. Candidates may come from industry or academia, including PhD graduates and candidates with approximately 1–2 years of postdoctoral experience.
Key Responsibilities- Perform hands-on mammalian cell culture activities supporting upstream development and protein expression.
- Support stable cell line development and mammalian cell line production activities.
- Conduct experiments using bench‑scale bioreactors, primarily within the 1–10 L range, with approximately 5 L commonly used.
- Contribute across cell line development and bioreactor workflows based on project and team needs.
- Support laboratory automation initiatives where applicable, including work involving liquid handling systems.
- Collaborate closely with scientists across the upstream team and contribute within a highly team‑oriented laboratory environment.
- 2–5 years of relevant hands‑on experience with mammalian cell culture.

Candidates with relevant industry experience are encouraged to apply. Strong academic experience will also be considered, including PhD graduates and candidates with limited postdoctoral experience whose research provided substantial hands‑on cell line development or mammalian cell culture experience.
What Will Make Someone SuccessfulThe strongest candidates will combine hands‑on mammalian cell culture expertise with experience in CHO cells, cell line development, or bioreactors. The team places significant emphasis on collaboration and is looking for someone who can contribute quickly while working effectively with other scientists.
