Retail Associate (Part-Time) - Professional Ct. New Albany, IN

This position is part-time and pays $11 an hour. The Retail Associate assists the store management team in reaching operational goals, performing a variety of roles including Cashier, Textiles or Wares Producer, Donation Door Attendant, eCommerce Producer, e‑Books Producer, and Rack or Cart Runner.

Cashier:

• Ring up customer orders, maintain a balanced drawer, and follow all cash handling procedures.
• Provide general information about Goodwill programs to educate customers and answer questions, directing higher‑level inquiries to an associate or manager.
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor (purge, size, run racks, and merchandise).

Textiles or Wares Producer:

• Sort product to identify quality and value, checking for defects, and bar and tag items.
• Produce 100 items per hour for wares / 85 items per hour for textiles as per Goodwill pricing standards and update the daily production tracking sheet.
• Occasionally use a pallet jack and regularly use a conveyor belt.

Donation Door Attendant:

• Accept donations and keep the donation door clear and clean.
• Sort products quickly and allocate them to appropriate areas.
• Maintain a clean, organized backroom and load/unload trucks as needed using heavy equipment such as pallet jack, double stacker, floor scrubber, and hydraulic lift.

eCommerce Producer:

• Identify and secure items of value for Click Goodwill.
• Stay informed on market values using eBay and other sites to tag, itemize, and secure items.
• Pack curated products onto pallets, wrap, and ship totes to Click Goodwill within store budget constraints.

e‑Books Producer:

• Scan books, decide which to send to Click Goodwill or display in store based on budget.
• Print inventory sheets and pack, seal, and ship totes for Click Goodwill.
• Identify top sellers and manage an organized, sales‑effective display.

Rack and Cart Runner:

• Check racks/carts for quality and value.
• Size, merchandise, and purge the sales floor.
• Maintain cleanliness, store carts, and stock shelves.
• Run one textile rack / wares cart per 15 minutes and update daily production tracking sheet.

• No degree required – demonstrate capability and how prior experience supports the role.
