Pro Shop & Guest Experience Manager

Sunset Hill Shooting Range isn't a traditional shooting range. We're an outdoor entertainment experience, and for many of our guests, visiting us will be their first time ever handling or firing a firearm.

That means we're not simply looking for someone to manage a store.

We're looking for someone who loves working with people, knows how to create an exceptional guest experience, and has the retail experience to run a professional, organized and profitable Pro Shop.

If you're the kind of person who naturally talks to customers, remembers names, reads a room, solves problems before they become complaints, keeps your team energized when things get busy, and believes every guest should leave saying “That was awesome!” — we want to talk to you.

Personality matters here.

You should be naturally outgoing, approachable and comfortable engaging with everyone from excited first-time shooters to families, tourists, experienced shooters and large groups.

You understand that great customer service isn't simply being polite. It's making people feel welcome, comfortable, important and excited about their experience.

You should also have meaningful retail experience. You'll be responsible for running a small but busy Pro Shop, developing your staff, maintaining strong operational standards and finding opportunities to grow sales without ever making the guest feel like they're being “sold.”

We're looking for someone who:

• Genuinely enjoys working with people and has substantial customer-facing experience
• Has meaningful retail experience, preferably including supervision or management
• Brings energy and enthusiasm to work and sets the tone for the people around them
• Is comfortable starting conversations and building rapport with strangers
• Understands hospitality and how small interactions shape the customer's entire experience
• Can lead, coach and hold employees accountable to high standards
• Stays calm, positive and solution-focused when business gets busy
• Notices what needs to be done and takes ownership without waiting to be told
• Understands sales, merchandising and inventory management
• Is organized, dependable and detail-oriented
• Has the potential and desire to grow into senior management

Firearms experience is a plus, but it is not required. We can teach firearms. The ability to lead people and deliver an exceptional guest experience is much harder to teach.

The Pro Shop is where our guests' experience begins and ends.

You’ll oversee the team responsible for welcoming guests, explaining how our range works, checking customers in, answering questions, helping first-time shooters feel comfortable, managing walk-ins during busy periods and making sure every guest starts their experience on the right note.

And when they return from the range, we want that same level of engagement.

You’ll be expected to be present, visible and involved — leading your team from the front rather than managing from behind a desk.

You’ll be responsible for creating the customer-service culture of the Pro Shop.

That includes training and coaching employees, setting expectations, handling customer concerns, maintaining energy during busy periods and making sure customers never feel like an inconvenience simply because we’re busy.

We want a manager who asks:

“What can we do for this customer?”
