We are a dedicated and motivated team of 45 people, located in Newtown, PA and represent the six brands of our group in the domestic market, providing laboratories with innovative, precise and efficient solutions:
Retsch is our specialist in laboratory mills and sieving equipment. Microtrac develops leading solutions for particle characterization. Carbolite supplies high‑performance laboratory ovens. Eltra enables precise elemental analysis. QATM takes care of metallographic sample preparation and hardness testing and ERWEKA is our producer of pharmaceutical testing devices. Verder Scientific operates 13 production sites and eleven sales companies worldwide and are part of the German‑Dutch technology group Verder, a group of companies with over 2500 employees around the globe.

what is fun Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of prospects and customers— including managers, engineers, supervisors, technicians, professors, and students—by supporting them at all stages, handling inquiries via email and phone, and providing application consultations for recommended equipment.
- Manage the entire sales process within the assigned territory by conducting sales and marketing activities, meeting regular sales targets, preparing and submitting territory forecasts, providing quotations and information, and ensuring effective follow‑up through CRM pipeline management.
- Organize and coordinate travel for prospect and customer visits, equipment and consumables demonstrations, and represent the company at relevant conferences, trade shows, meetings, and Webex consultations and training sessions; maintain accurate activity and communication logs in CRM.
- Provide and maintain opportunity and sales pipeline reports, make recommendations for product improvements and marketing opportunities, and schedule and conduct customer demonstrations and consultations to maximize territory performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or a related engineering discipline preferred; practical metallurgical laboratory and/or industrial sales experience will also be considered.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, with strong organizational and communication skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with CRM systems preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
- Team‑oriented and able to travel an average of 60% of the time.
