Position Overview
Ascential Technologies is seeking a results‑driven Sales and Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives for high‑precision balancing equipment. This role focuses on expanding market presence across industrial and manufacturing sites, service and repair centers, and OEMs. The Sales and Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, maintain and deepen relationships with existing customers, and collaborate with internal teams to align product development with evolving industry needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan targeting industrial, service, and OEM segments for Ascential's balancing equipment.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities to drive expansion into untapped markets and align with growth objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, fostering long‑term relationships and customer loyalty.
- Conduct meetings and product demonstrations to educate customers on balancing equipment applications.
- Engage with customer feedback, address concerns, and tailor solutions to meet operational needs.
- Stay current with industry trends and innovations in balancing and vibration monitoring to inform strategy.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry forums, and networking events to expand brand visibility.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align sales strategy with technical requirements.
- Coordinate internally to ensure seamless product delivery, service, and customer support.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for sales growth, customer satisfaction, and market penetration.
- Provide regular reports and actionable insights to leadership to drive continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in technical sales for industrial equipment.
- Strong knowledge of rotating/balancing equipment.
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles.
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office skills.
- Valid driver's license; willing to travel up to 50%.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Engineering or Mechanical degree.
- Experience with distributors and manufacturer reps.
- Familiarity with vibration analysis and balancing technology.
- Success in growing regional territories and market share.
- Advanced Salesforce and data reporting skills.
- Prior experience in the balancing or rotating equipment industry.
- Additional language skills for territory coverage.
- Sales Acumen:
Ability to identify opportunities, close deals, and achieve revenue targets in a technical sales environment. - Technical Expertise:
Solid understanding of balancing and rotating equipment, vibration analysis, and related industrial applications. - Territory Management:
Skilled in planning, prioritizing, and executing strategies to grow market share within assigned regions. - Relationship Building:
Strong ability to establish trust and long‑term partnerships with customers and distributors. - Problem‑Solving:
Analytical mindset to diagnose customer challenges and propose effective solutions. - Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for presentations, negotiations, and client interactions. - Organizational
Skills:
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. - Digital Proficiency:
Comfortable using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual collaboration platforms.
