We will teach you about industrial distribution.

You will provide our customers with expert assistance to a wide variety of questions and problems. Unlike many CSR roles, you will build ongoing business relationships with our customers through repeated contact and consultation. As this is a service and parts center, your ability to quickly and efficiently provide the right parts and/or solutions is key to winning and retaining business, especially during equipment breakdowns.

You may also use your mechanical aptitude to help solve customer problems or troublesome processes.

This role offers a clear growth path toward sales or management, with Applied Industrial Technologies promoting internal advancement.

• Assist customers by phone and in person at our facility
• Clarify needs, research options, and, as you ramp up, recommend parts
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction
• Process quotes, take orders, and provide post-order service

• 6 months of customer service experience preferred
• Desire to increase knowledge in industrial distribution products
• Excellent telephone skills
• Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly
• Enjoys working with computers; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel) and comfortable with Google search
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver s license and clean driving record (MVR)
• SAP / ERP experience, preferred but not required
• Some knowledge of industrial distribution products and hydraulics, preferred but not required

Starting salary will be based on experience and qualifications; additional incentives earned based on performance. Benefits include:
