Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Unarmed Act
235 Required in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution, you will conduct routine armed patrols throughout the location, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will help to maintain a secure environment while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential threats and unauthorized activities.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and protect assets within the financial institution setting.
- Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports for management and/or law enforcement as required.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders during critical situations as needed.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any security-related concerns or unusual activities to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess Act 235 qualification if applying in Pennsylvania.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
