As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in West Hazleton, PA

Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)

Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with access control systems and badge management. This includes understanding how to use identification badges for secure entry into company premises.

Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)

Candidates should possess basic computer skills and be comfortable using tablets or similar devices. Proficiency in navigating software applications relevant to their job role is essential.

CPR Certification (B205)

All candidates must hold a valid CPR certification. This certification should be current and recognized by a reputable organization. Proof of certification must be submitted prior to the start date.

Loss Prevention (B210)

Candidates should have a basic understanding of loss prevention strategies and practices. This includes knowledge of theft prevention, inventory management, and safety protocols to minimize loss within the organization.

What You'll Do

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of chemical and petrochemical facility buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic in accordance with site requirements.
Document observations, incidents, and unusual conditions, and promptly report security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
