Security Guard

Horsham Center for Jewish Life, a 324-bed long-term care facility, is seeking a dependable and professional Security Guard to help maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in supporting a peaceful healthcare setting, with a focus on safety, compassion, and vigilance. Weekend availability is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol the facility, including interior and exterior areas

• Control access points and verify visitors, vendors, and staff

• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies

• Provide assistance to residents, staff, and visitors as needed

• Maintain accurate daily logs and incident reports

• Enforce facility policies and procedures

• Identify and report safety hazards or suspicious activity

• Assist during emergency situations (fire drills, evacuations, medical events)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Prior security experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)

• Valid security guard license (if required by state)

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations

• Basic computer skills for reporting

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies

• Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs occasionally

Schedule Requirements:

• Full-time position

• Evening and/or overnight shifts

• Weekend availability required (Saturday and Sunday)

• Holiday coverage as needed
