Position: Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Gibson)
Location: Indiana

Founded in 1960, Trans Ash is a rapidly growing civil land construction & environmental company. This full time position will be located at the Duke Energy Gibson Plant in Owensville, Indiana.

Pay Information:

$25.75 - $32.96 / hour Higher starting pay with relevant experience. Weekly Pay Potential Overtime available

Job Summary

Maintain and repair construction vehicles, heavy equipment, and class A road trucks.

Essential Functions
  • Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance skills are required.
  • Knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, engine, transmission, and A.C systems.
  • Operate and inspect heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
  • Read and understand repair, operators, and troubleshooting manuals and schematics.
  • Must fabricate and weld.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent.
Job Requirements and Qualifications Education
  • High school diploma or GED.
Training Requirements
  • Trans Ash will provide necessary safety training for the job.
Experience
  • Must have 5-10 years of experience.
Other information
  • Must have own tools.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, operate vehicles and small equipment.
  • Must be able to work in a construction environment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug test, MVR, and background check.
