Location: Indiana

Jake’s Heating, Air & Plumbing is looking for an HVAC Residential Service Technician to bring their skills and energy to our growing team where your hard work will be appreciated, rewarded, and backed by a supportive crew. You’ll be working on complex HVAC issues in customers’ homes and representing a trusted local brand. We have an immediate opening for someone ready to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Service, repair, and/or propose replacement of furnaces, air conditioners, duct systems, boilers, water heaters, related piping, and electrical components
  • Perform startups, testing, and adjustments according to manufacturer specifications and job requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and lowtage electrical issues
  • Util refrigerant knowledge and experience for system diagnosis and repair
  • Communicate clearly with customers, explaining issues, options, and maintenance in a way that’s easy to understand
  • Build trust and deliver top-tier service that represents the Jake’s brand
  • Complete all required documentation for each call, including recommendations, repairs, readings, and payment collection
What You’ll Need
  • 5+ years of residential HVAC experience (required)
  • Strong customer communication skills; you’ll be face to face with homeowners daily
  • Refrigerant experience and understanding of safe handling and diagnostics
  • Solid knowledge of HVAC products and services with a desire to keep learning
  • Goal oriented mindset with the ability to plan, track, and meet targets
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specs
  • Detail oriented when ordering parts, documenting work, and staying organized
  • Clean, professional appearance and positive, team first attitude
  • Safe driving record and a strong focus on workplace safety
