Mountainside Home Improvements LLC is a construction and timber framing company focused on handcrafted timber structures and quality home improvement work. The company operates with integrity, attention to detail, and pride in a job well done, while honoring God in its work and relationships.
What you'll do as a Construction Worker / Driver:- Drive a pickup truck and flatbed trailer (up to 20 ft) to haul tools, equipment, and materials to job sites within about a two-hour radius of the shop.
- Load, strap, & unload materials safely so everything arrives in good shape and ready to use.
- Check trucks and trailers regularly and flag maintenance issues when something needs attention.
- Prep, cut, assemble, & install timber framing pieces using hand tools, power tools, and lifts.
- Assist with raising and setting timber structures by carefully reading measurements, layouts, and plans.
- Learn traditional and modern timber framing methods through hands-on work with experienced crew members.
- Help with framing, carpentry, demolition, and installation work on home additions and renovation projects.
- Install windows, doors, siding, trim, decks, and other exterior and interior features.
- Keep job sites clean and organized by helping with setup, cleanup, and material staging.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and shop areas in an organized manner, helping with shop prep and basic equipment maintenance as needed.
- Experienced: Experience operating a pickup truck and trailer and using a tape measure, with comfort working with basic math preferred, and a strong interest in timber framing, carpentry, and residential construction.
- Reliable & Teachable: Shows up consistently, keeps a positive attitude, and is open to learning new skills on the job.
- Detail-oriented & Proactive: Pays attention to measurements, plans, and jobsite details, and takes initiative without needing constant direction.
- Active: Able to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record for five years.
- $24-$26 per hour, DOE
- Full-time schedule, Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.
