About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and certified Pipe Welder / Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses strong blueprint-reading skills, solid field-fitting expertise, and the ability to pass rigorous non-destructive weld testing (X‑ray/ultrasound). We are also looking for experienced pipe fitters with 3 to 5 years of experience in layout, reading iso's, developing take offs and fitting pipe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabrication & Fitting:
Measure, cut, thread, bevel, groove, and bend carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy pipes according to blueprints and isometric drawings.
  • Welding:
Perform high-quality structural and pressure welds using GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), and GMAW/FCAW (MIG/Flux-Core) processes in 6G and 2G positions.
  • Layout & Alignment:
Align pipe joints using clamps, spacing wedges, and levels to ensure precise fit-up with zero gap distortion prior to welding.
  • System Testing:
Assist in hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing to verify system integrity and leak‑free performance.
  • Maintenance & Rigging:
Safely rig, hoist, and position heavy piping sections and supports using chain falls, hoists, and cranes.
  • Quality & Safety:
Comply with OSHA safety regulations, ASME section IX, and AWS codes; maintain clean, secure work zones at all times.

Minimum 3–5 years of verified experience as a combination Pipefitter and Pipe Welder in industrial, refinery, power plant, or commercial mechanical settings.

Ability to pass an ASME Section IX 6G weld test (e.g., TIG root/hot pass, Stick fill/cap on 2" to 6" schedule 80 carbon and stainless pipe). Active AWS or local trade certifications preferred.
  • Blueprint Proficiency:
Strong ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, orthographic plans, and weld symbols.
  • Tools:
Must own standard hand tools of the trade (centering heads, levels, wrap‑arounds, squares, wedges, welding hood, etc.).
  • Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Prerequisites:
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
