Position Summary: Responsible for working with the Recreation team to provide students with a comprehensive and diverse recreation program. Promotes health and wellness through overseeing the recreation activities as outlined on the approved recreation schedule.
Responsibilities- Follow all integrity guidelines and procedures to avoid manipulation of student data and assist with the supervision of a comprehensive and diverse recreation program.
- Coordinate recreation activities with CPP and Social Development to include evening programming.
- Coordinate recreation and leadership activities/programs with Center and local community resources.
- Ensure safe practices and program compliance within prescribed safety guidelines; document student participation and accountability during recreation activities.
- Maintain inventory of equipment and materials, control their use, recommend purchases, and perform repairs as needed.
- Maintain overall appearance, condition, and organization of the recreation department facilities.
- May oversee the student recreation aide program and produce quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
- Plan, prioritize, and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
- Apply job knowledge to effectively complete all required responsibilities.
- Mentors, monitors, and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.
- Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population, positively influencing behavior and holding students accountable.
- Provides timely operational support for Center operations to ensure quality programs and services and pursue improvement.
- Communicates ideas and information clearly and contributes meaningfully to group efforts.
- Analyzes problems, evaluates solutions, follows up to ensure correction.
- Works in partnership with staff from all departments to ensure effective supervision and services.
- Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager, including temporary assignments in other departments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate of Arts Degree or 1-year related experience working with youth preferred.
- Valid in-State Driver's License; meet Company insurability requirements; CDL preferred.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull/push, carry, reach, stoop, and crouch; lift 40 lbs or request assistance.
