Overview
Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer in West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. The role involves supporting mission‑critical business functions such as reference data management, fund accounting, workflow management, and reporting across middle and back‑office processes. The engineer will help drive the Alternative Investment Tech Platform (AIP) strategy forward, develop the next suite of automations, streamline workflow and process enhancements, and provide continuous Level‑3 support of the platform.
Responsibilities- Assist in driving the AIP strategy and develop the next suite of automations.
- Collaborate with business users and development teams across the Firm to design and execute software solutions for the Alternative Investment Platform.
- Provide continuous Level‑3 support for the AIP platform.
- Telecommute up to two days per week as permitted.
Expected base pay is between $174,000 and $174,000 per year at the commencement of employment, with the final amount determined on an individualized basis and part of a total compensation package that may include commissions, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and other benefit programs.
Requirements- Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field + 5 years experience in a senior software engineering role. - Technical skills – 5 years with C#, .NET, .NET Core, WPF, REST Webservices, WEBAPI, SQL Server, Sybase and Agile methodology.
- 3 years with Automated Build and Release CI & CD.
- 2 years with ORM (Entity Framework, Hibernate Tools).
- 1 year with Cloud Technology (Azure), Software Architecture and UML.
- Experience with complex SQL, stored procedures, data models, cloud databases (e.g., Snowflake), ETL tools (e.g., Informatica) and financial domain on Alternative Investments including Hedge Funds or Private Equity.
