Visa is seeking a full stack Java/J2EE developer with good hands‑on experience in front end technologies like Angular. The Visa Commercial Solutions team is responsible for designing, developing, and managing 20+ applications and services for Visa’s Commercial line of products. Our range of products include data processing, business intelligence, data mining, and B2B payments solutions.

Primary responsibilities for this role will include

• As part of a cross functional scrum team, design, develop & test new applications and maintain existing applications
• Develop code that complies with design specifications and meets security and industry best practices.
• Work with architects, systems analysts, project managers, QA and other developers to successfully implement business requirements while applying the latest available tools and technologies.
• Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate to ensure the quality of work delivered by teammates is in accordance with development standards.
• Build working relationships with global and virtual teams on software development.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Proficient in Java/J2EE technologies
• Experience in frameworks like Spring, Spring MVC, JPA, Hibernate
• Experience in SQL and/or PL/SQL is required
• Experience in working with microservice development, containerization, and CI/CD
• Experience working on UI/Web development using JavaScript, UI frameworks like Angular/React
• Demonstrated knowledge of Web Services Development using SOAP or REST, JSON and XML
• Proficient in GIT/Stash, Maven
• Experience being part of an Agile/Scrum team
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or related technology/engineering discipline
